The collar is a symbol. It does not have to be made of gold, silver or even leather. The collar is the symbol of
a commitment, however it is not the important part of a commitment. The collar shows the rest of the world
that you belong to Someone. The collar is only an outward sign of an inward experience - an experience that
encompasses one's commitment of mind, body and soul to another. The collar is a symbol that represents a
commitment that you belong totally and completely, no doubts or reservations as completely as one can give
of one's self to another. The collar, when worn, represents a Dom/me's pride of the slave - a sign of that
ownership. An ownership that entails doing as another wishes - when and how They wish.

The collar is a symbol. The REAL collar is inside the soul of the slave. When you wear a collar, and wear it
proudly, you are showing the rest of the world a symbol of that commitment. You represent your Dom/me
when you wear your collar proudly in the way you carry yourself, the way you look, the way you talk and the
way in which you relate to others. Every action and reaction, every word that you speak reflects on your
Dom/me.

You earn your collar, not by merely asking for it, but by your actions which show that you are a deserving
slave - one which is worthy of wearing your Dom/me's collar. The collar represents a slave that has worth
and value as well as the self-esteem, strength and the ability to serve his/her Dom/me being a gift of
pleasure to the Dom/me and His/Her friends as your Dom/me wishes and when your Dom/me wishes. The
collar is a constant reminder of who you are. The collar tells everyone that you are a slave, you belong to
Someone, you are His/Her property and you serve only your Dom/me.

When you serve Someone and wear His/Her collar you are showing love, obedience and dedication. The collar
is a symbol that your love, obediance and dedication make you very special.

G continues to bother me and threatens me with time limits. I feel so pushed by him all the time. What is hardest is i used to consider him a friend and a protector, now i only consider him a player and a bad one at that. After all the preaching he did about the meaning of the collar and then he started harrasing me telling me it was up to him who wore his collar and not me. I have done my best . I have told him i have no intentions of requesting a release or removing my Master's collar. But he has remained persistent about it .  i shouldn't have put myself in this postion. i am tried of people showing so little respect for Master.
